Fayetteville Schools' New Parent Network
Even if your children are too young to attend school, it's not too early to get involved in their future education.
The New Parent Network is an effort to reach out to parents whose children are not yet in school.
Getting parents involved in their child's future education will benefit:
•
Kids
- increased access to resources will help parents better prepare their kids for school, setting them up for greater success
•
Parents
- inclusion in a social network, access to recommended parenting resources, and being "in the loop" regarding district communications
•
Schools and Teachers
- if students are better prepared for school when they get there, it will create a better learning environment for all
•
the District
- increased community involvement means more people who really care about making sure kids have access to the best education possible
Coming soon! A series where we interview kindergarten teachers from around the district about good things for parents to work on with their children before they come to kindergarten.
Some ideas we are working on:
• Do you have a choice about your child's school (which schools have
Open Enrollment
)?
• Which schools have
Pre-K Classrooms
?
• What should your child be learning now?
Parent Resources
• Keeping up with
School Board Meeting
agendas
• How to receive PTA/PTO newsletters from your child's future school
