Mrs. O'Mara's Kindergarten Classroom

Welcome!

Our classroom is a very special place where children feel comfortable, safe, and excited about learning. One of my favorite sayings regarding teaching is that students may not always remember every single thing that you taught them, but they will always remember how you treated them. My goal is to encourage students to become lifelong learners. I hold my students to high expectations while providing them with the support needed to reach their own personal best. Our classroom has served as a model classroom under the Arkansas Comprehensive Literacy Model with direction from our wonderful Literacy Coaches Mrs. Arguello and Mrs. Taylor. This philosophy includes a balanced literacy approach with explicit instruction in the essential components of a K-3 reading program.
